November | 33rd Board

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great month! Personally, I got quite sick this month and had to miss the graduation ceremony, which I was very excited for and was looking forward to. But I really needed the rest, and Nalin did a great job!

Other than that, we had a few events happening, like the Randwyck party, and we were invited by the municipality to a dinner alongside other study associations. We learnt about Maastricht’s culture, and we had a great time there (plus the food and drinks were free!).

Thankfully, I was just fine for the CoBo, and I’m glad I was because it was unforgettable! All the boards that came were so sweet, and the gifts were really nice. Our bodyguards did have quite a job to do, as a main target was a mock plushy of Karel :/ And the following days I was quite literally slime and unable to do much haha.

Anyways, I’m really excited for December and the holidays!

I’m currently typing this in the middle of my tutorial because I forgot I needed to do this. Don’t you love it when the person in charge of the newsletter forgets about it 😇?

Jokes aside, it’s only been a week or two since writing my last monthly update because of the timing. With the chaos of the first part of the year and the holidays coming up, the scheduling of the newsletter is a bit weird this month. It should be fine starting from now, though!

These past few weeks haven’t been too busy, but they were really exciting! We went to a couple CoBos, but more importantly, we had our own on the 27th. It was insanely fun, with meeting all the other associations and all. Of course, we can’t forget our old Boards - it was so nice seeing the 31st and 32nd Boards come support us.

Personally, I’ve been doing just fine. I’m currently doing two courses for my minor in Psychology (Psychopathology & Brain and Behaviour, which sound exactly like what they are) and looking for internships. I’ve also been lucky enough to go to a bunch of social events with my friends, including some old ones I haven’t seen in a while! It’s always nice to catch up with old friends. The horses have also been great, though this cold weather has them all acting up. It happens every winter, but I still act surprised when Angel tries to throw me off because she suddenly sees a jacket that’s been there for the entire lesson…

I hope you’re all enjoying yourselves despite this cold weather! I personally enjoy having a nice cup of hot chocolate or a chai latte when it’s this gloomy outside - I definitely recommend ;)
